What Are Home Reset Wax Melts?

If you’ve ever cleaned the kitchen, lit a wax melt, and still felt like last night’s cooking was hanging around… you’ll understand exactly why I wanted to create the Home Reset range.

Home Reset wax melts are designed to do more than just make a room smell nice. They’re made with odour-neutralising technology to help tackle everyday household smells, while still giving your home that fresh, cosy, “someone has their life together” feeling.

Well… at least fragrance-wise anyway.

Why I Created Home Reset

I love normal wax melts, but sometimes you need something a bit more practical.

A sweet bakery scent is lovely in the right room, but if you’ve just cooked curry, cleaned the bathroom, or dealt with pet smells, you might want something that feels cleaner, fresher, and more purposeful.

That’s where the idea for Home Reset came from.

I wanted to create a range of wax melts for real homes. Not show homes. Not perfectly styled magazine homes. Actual homes where people cook, have pets, do washing, open bins, clean bathrooms, and occasionally wonder what that smell is.

The Home Reset Scents

Each scent in the range has been created with a different room or household moment in mind.

Kitchen Reset
Fresh, clean, and ideal after cooking. Perfect for helping the kitchen feel refreshed again after food smells.

Bathroom Reset
A bright, clean scent designed to make the bathroom feel fresh and newly cleaned.

Pet Reset
Made for homes with pets, or anywhere you want to help clear those everyday animal smells.

Bedroom Reset
Softer and more calming, ideal for making the bedroom feel fresh but not overpowering.

Living Room Reset
A welcoming everyday scent for the main room of the house — fresh, cosy and easy to enjoy.

How To Use Them

Use them just like a normal wax melt.

Break off one or two cubes, place them in your wax warmer, and allow the fragrance to gently fill the room. Once the scent has faded, let the wax cool and change it when needed.

They’re especially useful after cooking, cleaning, hoovering, changing bedding, or whenever your home just needs a bit of a reset.

Are They Still Cosy?

Yes — definitely.

The aim wasn’t to create something that smells like a cleaning cupboard. The idea was to make practical home fragrance that still feels enjoyable, warm and welcoming.

Because let’s be honest, nobody wants their living room smelling like a hospital corridor.

Home Reset has been one of those ideas that started as “I wonder if this would work?” and quickly turned into something people really seemed interested in.

That’s one of my favourite parts of Dilecta — testing ideas, making small batches, getting feedback, and improving things as we go.
